My diamond painting "The Portal of Empowerment" pays tribute to women. There is a woman at the beginning of all great things. She has the power to empower and elevate humanity. The painting features a pink and a blue diamond.
"The Portal of Empowerment" is a story. It's our story, as we elevate and empower others, ourselves and society at large for the greater good. Emblematic of the message of women empowerment, the woman in my painting is confident and independent. Her hands are raised, gestures that are symbolic of flight, of touching the sky and breaking glass ceilings. Elevated, a pink and blue diamond embodies brilliance that is within all of us, waiting to be embraced. The yellow color is luminous and represents optimism and creativity. The use of shades of blue in the painting signifies the duality of a day and night cycle, reminding of ever-present challenges to overcome. There can be no day without night and vice versa.
‘The Portal of Empowerment’ is a concept that I have identified with very strongly all my life.
The Portal of Empowerment and Radiate Brilliance, both paintings were exhibited at the prestigious Art Miami Fairs 2015, 26th Edition. Known as Miami's premier anchor art fair, Art Miami kicks off the opening day of Miami Art Week in the first week of December each year. It is one of the most important annual contemporary art events in the united states, attracting more than 82,000 collectors, curators, museum professionals and art enthusiasts from around the globe annually.
